Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach later in life, discovered her at age six. Her first competition was in the national junior championships in which she finished 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she took home the title. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she took home 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and '74 she was the overall junior champion. In her very first competition in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals aswell with one silver. She was the first female ever to successfully perform a backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens when she started doing figure skating along with her sister Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in entertainment during her teenage years.
